Well, this was unexpected :D When I started this picture just a couple days ago I didn't think that I'd wind up coloring it so quickly... and really hadn't planned on much of a background. This one was definitely a toughy! Woo! Two light sources... still not sure if I pulled them off right... but you guys be the judge :D

As most of you will no doubt know, these characters are Miroku and Sango from Inu Yasha... as with all my drawings they look a bit older... and the guys usually have longer hair (if its not already long)... I dunno, I like a guy with some hair :P So, Miroku is all 'bishied' out for lack of a better word ^^ I think the pose is a tad akward, but that's what I get for not using reference... I think that maybe Sango's head appears bigger than Miroku's because of their pose... but, she is in front of him somewhat so I guess I can sort of use that as an excuse :P

As far as interpretation... well, either Miroku is pulling her too him, or she's rushing into his arms... I like leaving things like that up to you guys because it's always so much for for me to read what you guys see in my pieces. So, I really hope that you enjoy this, it's my first Sango and Miroku pic so I think it's a bit rough around the edges, but overall I'm pretty happy with it. I think I did pretty gewd with the light :D

Oh yeah, I drew this in blue zebra pen and was a lazy little person and didn't redraw it, I just inked over it with the usual microns and then scanned it into photoshop... 5+ hours later.... and here's what ya get ;P

Thanks to everyone who answered my poll! You guys can definitely thank yourselves for this deviation as its you guys who helped me make up my mind! ;) :hug:

Wow! Well, you probably read my review left on mm.org, but I will try and say more of what I like here as well. I didn't mention how much I love the background, and I certainly love the experssions on their faces. The representation of them is gorgeous. Man, Miroku looks so handsome...He totally looks good enough to eat! :hungry::lick: And Sango looks so beautiful, she looks so real! :clap:

Wow, I actually like the pose, it shows some tentativeness on their behalf since Miroku is always smacking on Sango's rear instead of just complementing her ^_~

..Awesome. lol I really like it, a lot. At first I wasn't too sure about Sango and Miroku looking so much more mature, but I think I kinda like it. Very nice use of the light sources, you did a great job with the distribution. <3

Very nice! :D Love their expressions.. and the background. As far as my interpretation goes.. I thnk Miroku reached out to her and then Sango came willingly into his arms. <3

Actually, when I read this the first time I hadn't, but I think it's kewl because I didn't know your name on Mediaminer ^^

I'm glad you like the bg, I think it turned out nicely myself... I'm not a big background person so as I think I mentioned in my description it's a bit rough around the edges. I'm not finding it too easy to blend the way I do backgrounds with how I ink my art... I'm afraid of having to much of a contrast, but thankfully so far I've gotten some really nice positive feedback :)

Anyhow, I'm also relieved that everyone likes their faces... they're just SO difference from how they appear in the anime that I wasn't sure fans would like it. I'm just terrible (at least I think) at drawing them exactly how they appear, I guess I could if I really tried, but I think I'm too set in my own style :\

When I drew this I wanted to be sure to keep Miroku's hands away from her behind... I think that when they get serious (I haven't seen all of the series so I don't know if they get THIS serious haha) his hands aren't going to be on the bum ... I really wanted this to be a passionate piece... It's not quite as dramatic as I'd hoped, but still turned out nice I think.

Thanks! It was tough making sure that didn't screw up the lighting. I absolutely LOVE extreme lighting whether it's a drawing by hand or a photograph... just like I love perspective. So, I really try to incorporate one or the other at the very least. I'm glad you're happy with the result!

I know what you mean about them being more mature... I always feel I'm kinda treading on water with my style because it's so different from how the characters really look. I'm glad that you're still able to enjoy it though!

Thankfully their expressions were easier than the background :D Although, I'm still not sure about Miroku's... I dunno, maybe its because I'm the artist (always the worst critic ^^; )

Yeah, I would definitely love to see Miroku just reach out and grab Sango like this; to get past that bum grabbing habit and just kiss her already!!! :XD:

Hehe, that's the downside to being a guy drawn by me... no room for the weak! lol There's gotta be some kinda muscle tone :D It was fun putting the shooting star in, that's the first one I've ever done so I'm glad ya like it! ^^y
